Children Parties
#1 Handbuilding (Ages 6-14)
$8.00 per child with a minimum charge of $95.00 (max 15)
This one hour session offers a brief overview of the pottery making process. We explain the terms greenware, bisqueware, & glazed ware & talk about the glazing & firing process. Kids will make one or two of the following projects: pinch pot, pinch pot monster, slab tile, coil pot or slab box. The pieces are then glazed with a glaze that the birthday boy/girl gets to pick!. The pots can then be picked up about two weeks after the session.

#2 Wheel Throwing (Ages 8-14)
$12.00 per child with a minimum charge of $125.00 (max 10)
During our one hour and thirty minute session kids work on the potter's wheel experiencing the art and craft that is "throwing". Instructors will demonstrate the basic techniques and assist children individually. Throwing is not an easy task so we emphasize the experience over the final product. Kids will make 2 to 3 pots each. The pots will then be glazed in the color the birthday boy/girl chooses! Finished pots can be picked up in about two weeks.

#1 Paint your own (Ages 5-100)
private parties. Parties are scheduled for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. $15 will be charged for each additional half hour.
Please choose an or item at least 2 to 4 weeks before your party and schedule a reserved date for the party. One type of item per party allows for efficient instruction. A Paint Bisque Pottery Party includes instruction by a trained host, use of the studio facility, supplies, glazes, firing and cleanup included. peices will be fired and ready for pick up in one week. Parties are scheduled by appointment. We can accommodate up to 20 participants maximum -- age five through adult. Our facility is suitable for 20 participants (including the guest of honor) with room for the host and another person to move around comfortably and help each person. Participants glaze the selected item first, clean up and then move to La DOLCE VITA party room as needed.
